Ekiga 2.0.11 is available for download. You can find packages at the usual location. More packages will be added later.



We decided to release 2.0.11 shortly after 2.0.10. The ChangeLog described here can be seen as a global ChangeLog for both versions.

Happy Birthday

Today we celebrated the birthday of my wife Jonita, together with her parents.



Celebrating the birthday of Jonita also means celebrating the birthday of
Ekiga !



The first release of Ekiga (named GnomeMeeting) happened 6 years ago. I am
personaly developing on the project since the end of November 2000. I think it
makes of Ekiga one of the oldest VoIP and videoconferencing project for
GNU/Linux, and certainly the first one for the GNOME Desktop.

We have uploaded a new version of the WIN32 build which fixes a problem during
the detection of the GTK+ installed version. Thanks Vincent Luba.

Presence button

Yannick implemented a small script displaying the status information on Ekiga.net.



In order to use it, simply add this to your page :


<script src="http://www.ekiga.net/status/presence.php?user=YOUR_ID_ON_EKIGA.NET"></script> where YOUR_ID_ON_EKIGA_NET is simply your username.
You can see how it looks like on my blog.



If you click on the button while the user is online, it should ask Ekiga to call the correct SIP address. This has been tested with Firefox, and it works well.


STUN Server Down

The STUN server is having problems. Please use stun.voxgratia.org instead of
stun.ekiga.net as STUN server.

Ekiga 2.0.9 released

Ekiga 2.0.9 is available for download. You can find packages at the usual location.



It is the first release to come with a BETA package for Windows. Future releases will get support for DirectX for audio and video capture.

Ekiga 2.0.7 released

Ekiga 2.0.7 has been released right after Ekiga 2.0.6. The reason was a wrong API call in the Avahi code due to the lack of caffeine when commmitting the code.



We suggest you using Ekiga 2.0.7 instead of Ekiga 2.0.6.
